Ho impacchettato il nuovo Firefox 3.0 versione vanilla (e quindi senza patch) per Ubuntu 8.04 “Hardy Heron”.
Richieda l’eleminazione del pacchetto “firefox-3.0″ e del pacchetto “firefox”
Non so se dopo un’aggiornamento del sistema si reinstalla anche firefox di ubuntu, domani indagerò (non aggiorno da 2 mesi 
)

Download: Aggiungete i miei repo dopodichè installate il pacchetto “firefox” (potrà essere necessario disinstallare il vecchio pacchetto di ubuntu)
Oppure scaricare il .deb direttamente da qui, ed installarlo con il comando sudo dpkg -i /path/a/firefox_3.0nopatch~ubu4ever3_i386.deb
MR Tech Local Install è un vero e proprio addoon e aggiunge funzioni utilissime alla vostra volpe¹ di fuoco.

- “about:plugins” button to open the about:plugins information page, with context menu of all available about: options.

Ritoccalo con gnome-color-chooser!
È un semplice programmino che fa cambiare colore al desktop, pannello, icone ecc…
Installarlo è semplicissimo:
wget http://switch.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/gnomecc/gnome-color-chooser-0.2.3.tar.gz
tar zxf gnome-color-chooser-0.2.3.tar.gz
cd gnome-color-chooser-0.2.3
./configure
Qui al configure controllate se manca qualche dipendenza e, se mancano, installatele (attenzione: il pkg indicato dal configure può non essere lo stesso disponibile nella vostra distro)
make
sudo make install
E, finalmente, avviatelo!

Con questo piccolo trucchetto, potrete cambiare la distro (e il browser) usati che vengono riconosciuti dagli sniffers senza installare alcuna estensione.
Digitate nella barra degli indirizzi
about:config
E poi cercare
general.useragent
Dopodichè potete pasticciare con l’useragent. Se vedete nella Spam Page, c’è un mio commento ci sono 16 commenti che prendono in giro lo sniffer.

Non funzionano i controlli di youtube, nemmeno i giochi in Flash.
In pratica, la stessa cosa che è capitata a molti utenti, tra cui LuNa dove ho scoperto che era uscita la nuova versione.

EDIT: Mi rimangio tutto! Adesso va! E pure bene! Riesco a vedere i video su youtube, a giocare e poi se clicchi con il tasto destro su una cosa in flash esce fuori un menù in GTK!

È proprio così. Ubuntu oggi dedicherà questo giorno al Progetto GNOME contribuendo alla risoluzione dei bug.
