…ed ovviamente ho aggiornato!

C’è stato solo un problema: il plugin dei post simili non funzionava. Allora ho rimosso il codice nel tema ed lo ho disattivato. Poi ne cerco un’altro che funzioni con la 2.5. Ma tanto non è indispensabile.

Per aggiornare seguite questi passi:

1. Provatelo in locale (tenete la copia del wp-content)
2. Cancellate TUTTI i file della dir del vostro blog TRANNE wp-content e wp-config.php
3. Uppate i nuovi file della wp 2.5 TRANNE la cartella wp-content
4. Scrivete nella barra degli indirizzi: http://miodominio.ext/wp-admin/upgrade.php (¹) e seguite i passaggi
5. Avete wordpress aggiornato.
6. (FACOLTATIVO SE NON SI VUOLE LA LINGUA ITALIANA OPPURE SI È SCARICATO IL PACCHETTO TRADOTTO DA WWW.WORDPRESS-IT.IT) Scaricate la localizzazione italiana da www.wordpress-it.it
7. create la cartella wp-content/languages e metteci it_IT.mo, it_IT.po ed it_IT.php (FACOLTATIVO)
8. Se necessario modificate wp-config.php come descritto qui: http://www.wordpress-it.it/wiki/Main/WordPressInItaliano (FACOLTATIVO)
9. Godetevi il nuovo wordpress!

[¹] Qui ovviamente cambiate l’indirizzo e la direcotory del vostro blog!

Manca una settimana al rilascio di WordPress 2.5. Perchè allora non provare la svn con tutte i nostri posts, commenti, temi e plugin?

Occore un backup del db (e della cartella wp-content), apache2, php4 o superiore (consiglio 5), mysql (magari con phpmyadmin) e subversion installato.

In locale, create un nuovo db e importate il backup.

Nella tabella wp_options cancellate la chiave “siteurl”

entrate nella directory di apache (solitamente /var/www) e date questo comando:

svn co http://svn.automattic.com/wordpress/trunk/ (¹)


dovrebbe ora esserci una directory chiamata “trunk”. Entrate in questa cartella e cancellate wp-content. Ora prendete la wp-content del vostro blog e copiatela in /var/www/trunk.

Ora avviate apache e mysql (se non lo avete fatto) e andate su

http://127.0.0.1/trunk/

e procedete con l’installazione di WP 2.5. Non preoccupatevi degli errori. È normale. A fine installazione cliccate sul pulsantino “Log in” e loggatevi.

Andate nelle opzioni e cambiate tutti gli url che riguardavano il blog nel web (è solo una cosa da cambiare LOL)

Bene, avete wp 2.5 installato e funzionante con tutto quello che avevate sul vecchio wp.

[1] Ora che è uscita la nuova versione potete creare anche la cartella trunk (o come la volete chiamare) e poi metterci i file lì.

MR Tech Local Install è un vero e proprio addoon e aggiunge funzioni utilissime alla vostra volpe¹ di fuoco.

La lista delle funzioni presenti nel sito non sono nemmeno aggiornate, ma sono comunque molte:

Extension & Theme Managers

Hai verniciato male il tuo gnomo? Oppure la vernice era difettosa? ( )

Ritoccalo con gnome-color-chooser!

È un semplice programmino che fa cambiare colore al desktop, pannello, icone ecc…

Installarlo è semplicissimo:

wget http://switch.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/gnomecc/gnome-color-chooser-0.2.3.tar.gz

tar zxf gnome-color-chooser-0.2.3.tar.gz

cd gnome-color-chooser-0.2.3

./configure

Qui al configure controllate se manca qualche dipendenza e, se mancano, installatele (attenzione: il pkg indicato dal configure può non essere lo stesso disponibile nella vostra distro)

make

sudo make install

E, finalmente, avviatelo!
